Who We Are

About Us

Building on our ongoing work in Quranic education (such as tafsir classes), Arabic grammar classes for both men and women, and youth mentorship/development, QAYC serves the Auckland community by empowering individuals to lead, learn, and contribute to the betterment of our society.

Our Values

Quranic Understanding

Learning more about the Quran, connecting with it, and implementing it in our daily lives.

Empowering Youth

Helping young people grow confidently with a safe space and strong Islamic foundation behind them.

Building Community & Family

Creating a welcoming place where families can connect without judgement.

Our Services

Quran Tafsir Classes

Every Saturday and Sunday, we host Tafsir classes to deepen our understanding of the Holy Qur'an through streamed video recordings of Dr. Israr Ahmed. This initiative has been remarkably successful, Alhamdulillah, regularly gathering over 50+ attendees.

Kids Classes

Every Sunday, we host English classes for children with over 30+ weekly attendees where young learners present and share the knowledge they have gained. The learning sessions are followed by fun sports and physical activities in our indoor gym.

Arabic Classes

We operate 15 active batches of Quranic Arabic grammar classes, catering to men, women, and children. Alhamdulillah, over 150+ students attend these classes across 2 English batches, 11 Urdu batches, and 2 dedicated female-only batches.

2. Our Charitable Purpose: Advancing Education

Our primary mission is focused on spreading the message of Islam and empowering today's youth. Through our specialised Arabic grammar courses, Quranic Tafsir programs, and practical workshops, we give our community the knowledge they need to stay steadfast in their deen (religion) and continue shining as top contributors to society.

3. Community Wellbeing & Public Benefit

All QAYC initiatives including our youth programmes (sleepovers, weekly classes, and more) are designed for empowering and giving a voice to our community. We actively work to promote youth development, mental wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive engagement within the local Auckland community and beyond.

4. Responsible Management of Funds

Every dollar received through community donations, course contributions, or sponsorships is directly reinvested into our community programs, venue maintenance, and educational resources. Our team ensures through strict governance that not a single dollar goes to anyone or anything not directly outlined or stated, and members take no money or salary.

Tax-Deductible Donation Status

Because QAYC is a registered non-profit charity in New Zealand, tax-paying individuals who support our educational and community work are eligible to claim a 33.33% Donation Tax Credit from Inland Revenue (IRD) for their contributions at the end of the tax year.
